Join Gentle Somatic Yoga creator James Knight and his co-facilitator Teya Alden† for a juicy, life-enhancing week of next-level GSY training where they will expand Somatics into an entirely new dimension: Movement as a Lifestyle!
WHAT THIS TRAINING WILL COVER:
- 1/3 of the course will be devoted to modifying Somatic Movement Flows for people sitting in a chair: the deskworker, seniors, and corporate wellness.
- 1/3 of the course will be devoted to working on the table for customized hands-on sessions. James will share with you clinical protocols used to address the most common presenting complaints from clients and students such as: Low back, shoulder, neck, and hip pain.
- 1/3 of the course will be taking Gentle Somatic Yoga off the floor, chairs, and tables, and into being upright and moving off the mat. Teya Alden will help us realign our Soma’s through the lens of bio-mechanics. We will explore or grid through stance, gate, functional movement, and other surprises to help you experience more freedom in your life. Teya’s motto is “Move Like it Matters”. Teya is a Restorative Exercise Specialist (R.E.S.) trained by Katy Bowman, E-RYT 500, and a certified Gentle Somatic Yoga Practitioner. To learn more about Teya and her work, click HERE.
