About Gwen Siciliano

As a therapeutic yoga teacher,  I have practiced and taught body movement for over 30 years. I was born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario and frequently travelled to Kelowna, BC for family visits and skiing. My love for all sports fostered a steadfastness and unwavering faith in myself to show up daily and ” Give yourself the gift of presence”.

The experiences of my nursing career and my Master of Holistic Healing training came together into a new domain…the yoga mat. I began my yoga education at the Yandara Yoga Institute, acquiring certifications in 200-hour Hatha Flow, Yin, Restorative, Bhakti and 300-hour Vinyasa (Pulse or Dance) Hatha Style. My playfulness grew a little brighter after my certification in Kids Yoga training  with Maalaa (Rosalie Lazar) which helped me spread the wonder, power and love of yoga in a playful ~ fun ~ energetic manner.

I expanded my therapeutic knowledge of how to reduce pain and increase flexibility through specific somatic movement flows with certifications in Gentle Somatic Yoga Levels 1 and 2 with James Knight, E-RYT and Hanna Somatic Educator.

Currently, I teach an intuitive blend of breath-filled restorative, gentle somatic flow, yin & vinyasa flow classes in a calm, nurturing, supportive environment designed to give students a strong base from which to expand their practice and personal connection to their true nature and spirit.

“The more control you have, the more choices you have in your body… Let me guide you to a place of freedom in the Body ~ Mind ~ Spirit “.
