Rynn is a 500hr Registered Yoga Teacher and Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapy Clinical Facilitator with over 13 years of experience working with children and adults in West Texas. Clients love Rynn’s tender-hearted, “come as you are” approach to navigating life’s challenges with curiosity, compassion, and humor. In addition to teaching yoga at Amarillo College, Rynn volunteers as a pregnancy & infant loss grief facilitator for The Hope & Healing Place and is a Troop Leader with Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains. Rynn specializes in somatic yoga and expressive arts for pain care, mental health support (trauma, depression, anxiety, grief/loss), prenatal/postpartum transitions, and LGBTQIA+ support. At the center of Rynn’s work is a heart for service and dedication to creating welcoming and inclusive spaces for the marginalized and disenfranchised in their community. Rynn actively volunteers for the Wellness Program at Heal The City, providing yoga-based care with dignity and compassion for the uninsured of the Amarillo area. Rynn is also a recipient of the 2020 National Affiliate Grant from The Art of Yoga Project, which aims to empower marginalized and justice-involved youth through trauma-informed yoga and creative expression. Rynn envisions a world where everyone has access to individual empowerment and collective healing through yoga. Rynn received their Bachelor’s of Music in Voice Performance as well as their Master’s of Arts in Music & Communication Disorders from West Texas A&M University. Rynn became a 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher in 2019 and holds additional certifications in Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapy through Sundara Yoga Therapy and Embodied Reproductive Health through The Trauma-Conscious Yoga Institute. In addition to joining the Pain Care Aware team as a Trainer, Rynn is pursuing their Professional 800-hr Yoga Therapist Certification through Inner Peace Yoga Therapy, accredited by the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
